    Default White-winged Dove x2

Photographed in Bosque del Apache, New Mexico last fall. I was at the picnic tables near the visitor's center eating a well-deserved breakfast after photographing cranes at sunrise. The birds were still active and I never did get to sit down to my bowl of cereal!

    Canon 7D, Canon 400 f4 DO IS, 1/640, f14, ISO 400, tripod.

I used f14 to try to get both birds in focus.

    C & C most welcome.

Hi Nancy, nice HA's here. I like how they are stacked. Pretty cool shot.

    Hi Nancy,

I love this image - nice lighting, good HA and exposure, good separation of the birds and composition in relation to the tree, and the texture of the tree forms an integral part of the overall image.

I love the front/back poses. Good thinking in going f/14 - looks to have worked out. I find the comp tight top and bottom...I could see this as a vertical with canvas thinned out left and right and added top and bottom, or simply a wider square all around.

Nothing worse than eating sogged-up cereal that sat too long in the bowl!!!

Daniel, I agree with your cropping suggestion. I was thinking the same thing after I posted it. Thank you Gary and Hi, Richard!

Nancy, beautiful subjects, I love the eyes. I agree with the crop suggestions. Otherwise, you got the exposure, focus and DOF right. Well done. TFS
