Always tough shooting with them in the shade and the background being brightly lit bud. You did well here, I like the composition and pose, with nice even exposure. I might be tempted to do a tad more shadow/highlights adjustments, but just be careful to get that "fake" look when you overcook it (not saying it looks like that, just saying when doing a little more work to watch out for it, but you know that ).

Fill flash could have helped bring some "life" upfront here?

Nice image and pose, Dumay, and like the direct eye contact. Lion looks very at ease and you managed light situation well and got a good exposure. Good job!

The bright background distracts me. Likewise the only light on the lion being on the right leg making it brighter than the face.

Hi Dumay, nice exposure and detail considering the bright BG, well managed. LIke the head on stare and direct eye contact.

Dumay - I too like the head on stare and also that you included the whole body. The bright bg doesn't bother me and you handled the dappled light well.

Love the relaxed pose, nice natural light, engaging look, works for me.

One thought though, keeping the same crop proportions, working from the bottom LHC working to the right, I might just lose about a third off the RHS, likewise this would help the height too, giving a more balanced feel I think, as you have the weight at the foot of the image.
