Ofer, this is a beautiful image. I love the fluffy detail you have captured in their feathers.

A beauty! Love the rich blacks, and I actually like the front bird's head angled away a bit as both birds' heads are angled slightly towards each other for a very intimate portrait.

I like these type of images. Excellent exposure on the blacks, superb poses from both, and I like the blues of the water BG. The droplets add a nice touch.

Beautiful interaction shot, Ofer. I agree, you did really well with the blacks on this, love the detail and texture of the feathers. Soft BG with blue works well. Nicely done!

Ofer, which head head angle do you prefer, that of the front bird or that of the back bird?

    Loverly BTW.

Yes a real beauty... We have some Black swans in our local bird sanctuary.. only problem they are kept in a pond that doesn't get good evening or morning light.. love the deep sound they make.

I love this intimate portrait of this pair. They are so graceful. The light was gorgeous and there is a lot of detail here.

Ofer, loved that they seem to be looking at each other...the two S curves and the blacks. Very well composed.

    Thanks for your comments guys!
Artie, I didn't really think about it and it's not relevant to this image. Generally speaking - when I take a photo of a bird on a perch doing nothing - then I would like it to look at me or in my direction. However, when I take a behaviour/interaction shot I would prefer that the birds either look at each other or their prey or whatever they are doing.
As I have said many times in the past - worrying too much about HA (head angle) is not my thing. An image works or it doesn't. It can have a "perfect" HA and still be boring and there are many amazing images with less than "perfect" HA.

Like the tight crop and the nice interaction. Great sharpness, and the detail in the blacks is excellent.
