    Default Duck Tranquility

I posted this a while back in the Eager to Learn forum, thought I'd post it again for the reflections theme. This was a poorly exposed shot, with the duck coming out dark. I decided to bring the levels down even more on the duck so that it was all silhouette. Cloned out some of the reeds as suggested. There was some mud stirred up from a rain storm which added the brush of color across the reflection.

Hi Brendan, nice composition and I like the concept of going silhouette with levels. I like that brush of colors from the stirred up mud. I still think you can crop a bit off the left, IMHO.Nicely done.

Nice silhouette. Strong mood. If it were mine I would strengthen the brown tone in the water.

    Brendan,

Greetings. The color in the water is makes this for me along with the light on the reed. Interesting moody image.

    Cheers,

Brendan, nice silhouette save. Agree with Indranil on cropping some off the left.

Thank you for your comments Indaranil, Jay, Michael, and Andrew. Much appreciated, and I agree about cropping some off the left and boosting the brush of mud color. Just can't decide exactly where to make the crop. Any suggestions? Thanks again.
