Default King Bird in a pretty setting

    Attached Images Attached Images

This image was taken on Island Beach State park last month during a friendly get together on Mothers Day with Chad and two of my boys.

Amazingly my 14yr old actually enjoyed himself and grabbed my little ones camera to join in on the fun. It was a lovely Mothers Day for me

I love the BG on this one because it reminds me of a BG I would use when photographing a portrait in the studio.

    Noelle,
This is simply lovely. The BG is beautiful but the light and feather detail is what make this picture superb. The head angle is perfect. Exposure is bang on.

Very nice! Lovely BG and pose! Bird looks slightly oversharpened and I am not crazy about what looks like a selective manipulation of the eye.

I like the way the foliage frames the bird. Great BG and complimentary colors! Small nit is the sharpening halos around the foot and beak....But a minor one! Nice image Noelle!

Noelle, I like this on a lot. Love the colored background. One slight thing that I see that draws my eye is the OOF leaf covering the perch.

    Great Capture

Quite loverly with a beautiful angle to the bird and the perfect head turn for the pose. EXP and BKGR quite nice. I might opt to lose the light o-o-f stick right below the bird's tail.

A lovely image. I like the background elements and the leaves. They give this image an artistic feel and keep it from being a bird on a stick. I'm not the best at Post processing, but a slight burn on the part of the perch being covered by the oof leaf might minimize that, but I'm not one that is bothered by it as is.

You are right about the setting, Noelle. It looks great so does the bird. This bir is a very photgenic one IMO. You did a great job.

Noelle, very well done. I love the head turn here. hard light handled very well. Bg and the leaves make a big difference. IQ is excellent.

Beautiful! I love the setting...the leaves add so much to the image. I would try minimizing the OOF area in front of the perch, but that's all. Very well done.

Thank you so much everyone for the compliments and CC about my image.

This image was taken mid day in full light as Kaustubh pointed out. This is usually something I try to avoid but this image is also an example that with the proper exposure a nice image can be made. (Thanks for helping me Chad)

I also did accentuate the eye a little to bring out what was already there. As far as the bird looking over sharpened it is because if resizing. The full size image that I have printed for sample shows no signs of OS or halos.

I like the suggestions about taking out the blur from the perch area. I am going to re-work the image before i print it again.

    Thank again

    Noelle
