An impressive shot!! Beautiful light, colours, pose and BG. Can't see much fine feather detail and I see some noise on the wing but its sharp enough to survive the crop.

Thanks for the comments folks...Ofer I cropped from 10 mp to about 7 1/2mp. Thanks for the pointing out of the noise on the wing. I did notice after I posted. I redid the PP and more sharpening. Interesting to hear if I overdid it....Thanks for the valuable comments

Repost looks better with hardly any noise on the wing. Maybe try to recover some feather detail in the white of the same wing as it looks too smooth.

awesome pose, BG and sharp head, you captured the dynamic pose. If you applied NR, just apply to the black feathers, you should be able to recover some detail in the white area. overall an excellent shot

Great flight angle against a complimentary background. An enjoyable image of a bird that I am not familiar with.

I did not notice the noise in the first post but the second one still impresses me as an improved version.
I like the angle, wing position, eye contact, background and colours.

Great angle, and I like the flying posture. Your repost looks good with regards to the NR, and if this were mine, I would maybe tone down the head and body of the EG a tad. Cool Mankwe BG too. You must have been bored to shoot EG's at Mankwe mate.

Thanks for the comments folks....Always find those white shoulder patches on the EG's a challenge. Stu, I have been wanting a nice EG flight image for a whle (never had one) So I was pretty chuffed to finally get one. Mankwe was pretty dead this weekend and this was one of the few ops I had.

Nice light, wing position and angle on this in flight shot. The repost is definitely better looking and sharper.
