Default A different look for a snowy. What do you think? Repost

Hi all. This is a shot I took at the Alligator Farm this past week. I was trying to get something different. Thanks for looking and commenting. Taken with the D200 and Nikon 500mm, iso 250, f7.1, 1/4000, -1.33

Hi Nancy, I love the head an wing over, like a cape, but the darks on the left seem a bit distracting to me. I would try a different crop. Here's an option, don't know how much more you have in the original or if this one is a full frame.
    Explore your options.
Another light angle would have avoided the shadows in the plumage.

Will you be coming to the AF for the get-together? Would love to meet you :)

Fabs, thanks for showing a different look still. I like it. I hope to make it to the AF that weekend, but would arrive for the afternoon session, for I work Friday nights.

I like the first image you posted the most! The blue area looks a bit grainy on my screen, but this is a great image!

Like the pose and favor Fabs' edit. Here is my suggestion for the second post. Would back off the saturation a little - looks like the blue is falling apart in both images.

Like that Dieter:). The funny thing about the blue is that I did not do anything with the saturation, just increased the contrast with the whole image.
