Hi Steve, I think the effect works well. The subject is beautiful and posed nicely. If this were mine I would crop the perch to a little above your name.

    Hey Steve,
I like the perch.....but do think that where dave want to crop will also work. Any more room left......tail feels a bit tight and would give it a bit more sepration. I think some minor tweaks will put this over the top!

Here it is. I cropped it off the left, but do not remember why. I added more to the left and I like it better. Thanks,
    Steve

Steve, Really nice repost. I do still find that the outline from the filter is distracting. I do like the processing you chose and the composition looks good.

Steve, wonderful effect and pose. The repost works better with the additional room.

Steve, I like the repost and the PB effect. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that he looks like he's standing on one leg and the top of the perch seems to be propping him up

Thanks for the comments. I agree with the busy background and the outlining. I guess I could layer a less busy background and bring it through and will consider that in the next posts.

    Cheryl,
I did not see your comment before I posted mine. The standing branch has his other claw on it, I guess it does not show strongly enough.
