Like this a lot, great low angle and composition; I like to look through the FG details, beaches, stones etc make lovely objects. Is there a slight halo round the beak? Great shot IMO

    Chris,

Great looking bird with a good head and body angle to the camera. I feel that some more sharpening of the bird is needed.

thanks for comments,Richard,no its not an halo round its beak,it was over cast sky, there was dark and light clouds, and the light cloud as reflected of the river, and given ita bit of back lighting on its beak.well thats my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I agree on a tad more sharpening, Chris. I think you have nice composition, good exposure and nice angle. I like the environmental feel with the rocks.

Very nice exposure, habitat and shooting angle. feet visible is a plus. I also like the placement of the subject in the frame.

Looks like there is some head shake...you oboviously had very low light and did not want to push beyond iso800.
