    Default Black Kite

Another summer shot, this time a Black Kite feeling its way through a summer meadow.

    Canon 1DN + EF 300 f4, 1/1600s, ISO 160.

Great pose and habitat, John. The upper part of the head looks a bit overexposed but that should be easy to fix.

This one sure is lovely. It really has a strong feeling of flight with it brushing its wing on the grasses. Love the topshot and the bg works too. Wish you had more frontal lighting but it sure works as is.

What I like best here is the lower wing grazing the grasses...very cool! The slightly open bill is also nice. The harsh light is a bit over-empowering unfortunately (at least to me). Maybe toning down the brighter parts of the grass could help a bit. The lower third of the image could use a bit of desaturation too...

I like the pose and the BG as is. The bright head, as mentioned bugs me a bit.

This is so dynamic, and the wingtip dipping into the grasses adds a lot. As mentioned, taming the contrast a bit would help the presentation.

Very nice image. Love the colors of the background and the flight banking, gives illusion of speed...
