This is really nice, Michael. The blur is just right to indicate motion, and the Topaz treatment makes her doll like. Nice job!

Michael, I think the amount of blur, the composition and the subject are all very pleasing and work well together. It seems a slight bit dark but that may have been what you had in mind for the finished look. Nice job.

    Hey Michael,
Agree that you may go a bit lighter on her.....but another very cool motion blur. I like this as much as the other one but this one shows the movement in the entire body! Very nicely done!

Hi Michael, I like this image alot. Great motion and yet the subject is discernable. Good subject placement along with a wonderful pose. In images like these it's difficult not to get a caste. I removed the greenish caste from the subject...

    Brendan, denise, Roman, Dave,

Greetings. Thanks much for your comments. I have mixed feelings about the dark tone. Dave, I like the color in your re-post... I'll have to work the green cast removal into mine.

A little back story on the darker tone: This shot was taken during a dress rehearsal for a performance. It happened that the lights were being reset so the main stage lights were off... only some ambient lighting and the stage was pretty dark. The dancers took the opportunity to run through some moves, no lights, the only music is in their heads. All in all pretty quiet in the theatre. I imagine this pirouette was all for the ballerina and not for another audience other than herself. I like the darker tone as part of the mood.

That said I do like the brighter tone of Dave's repost Maybe I'll print them both...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, I love the motion blur. I'm undecided about Dave's repost. I like it without the green cast, but I think I prefer it a bit darker, as in the OP. Wonderful soft tender mood to this.

Michael, wonderful motion blur here! Dave's repost looks great with the greenish cast removed. I think a brightness in between the original post and Dave's might work best.

Michael, I love both of your ballet images. I agree with Andrew on a compromise - Dave's repost but not as bright. Beautifully done
