I sat low in the water & used the ocean for the BG.
It was a pleasure to watch this magnificent bird keep the area clean
and chase away any other bird that came near it.

Love the bird, the COMP, the BKGR, the eggs, and the SH. Bummer about the shadow of the plant but not much that you could do about that....

The dark OOF object in the foreground, beside your signature, is a bit distracting. I think the shadow adds to the the photo... great shot!

I too find the OOF foreground thing a bit distracting. Otherwise , I feel this is a beautiful image. the low BG and super job on exposure make it a winner in my book.

Despite the shadow I love this image. Low and I had not noticed the OOF foreground thing as I was drawn into the bird in the image. I like how this shows that some thought has gone into the placement of the nest - with the plant providing some kind of shelter/windbrake. Lovley cool BG compliments the plant and bird well.

I like this. Shooting angle makes it special IMO. I like the plant and don't mind the shadow at all as it is soft and natural looking.

I like the low angle, the exposure is right on. The only thing that distracts for me is the OOF object in the foreground. Otherwise, beautifully done.
