Got this Tawny Eagle chasing these hapless mynas around just to entertain himself. The setting sun added drama by lighting up the golden bird.

    Spec: 1/1600, F 5.6, ISO 800, -1/3.

The light is stunning and love the action. Just wish there were no overlap of eagle and other birds.

I love the action and the energy of the image. Bummer for the overlap and would be great if the bird was looking more towards you/camera IMHO.

Thanks Marina and Lorent, I have posted a version with the bird cloned.

about the HA I felt the eagles concentration on its victim added, yeah a straight into the camera would have been nice too...

    Thanks again..

    Regards,

    Kiran.

Talons hanging down, stunningly sharp and a perfect EXP all as expected.... Good job on the removal. Next big challenge: lost the bush behind the myna on our leftt (and the other bird back there....???)

You are not only good but fast. Since I know what was there I would suggest a bit of smoothing on each side near the head. Try a Patch Tool and drag it to somewhere with similar texture. Let me know if you need additional help.

    Hi,

I agree with all the comments, and I think the re-post at Artie's suggestion is better, but to make it even better I wish that the eagle had been looking more directly at one of the Mynahs as potential lunch.

Kiran, you know how to make it pop! Love the last repost! Lighting, detail and color are great and the HA is fine to me in this image with this action.

Amazing IQ, light and action, as always!
I too prefer the image in pane 4. I'd probably keep the bush but remove the mynah behind it.
Your work is always jaw droppingly good!

What counts most to me is the action (which is compelling) and the exposure (which is spot on). Each version of the image presented here is good, because the basics are there. Your Photoshop skills are good, to be sure. I'm not too worried about HA.

I like the original best, not a big fan of cloning to ones hearts content. Wonderful light gives it drama as you mentioned.
