Great image quality, nice light and lovely BG. I agree with loosing the shadow of the bill and maybe have less empty place on the left? Is it FF?

I have no issue with the shadow, Jim. I do wish the bird were placed more to the left of the frame since he is facing right. Lovely details here and nice clean BG.

    Hmmmm.....

I will have to try it further to the left. I placed it as is since the birds eye / face commanded just left of the center of the frame and that's where the main point of interest was intended when I framed it.

Lovely image, nice details and exposure. Another vote for placing the bird more to the left.

Great detail and a lovely background Jim. I have no problem with the shadow or crop as presented.

I need to get back up to PI soon!!!

Jim, terrific IQ as usual. very very good call on f-stop. No issue with the shadow. Perfect HA and sweet BG. liked the diagonal lines created by the feathers.

Agree with crop suggestion...IMO, this will be better of as a 8 X 10 crop.
