    Hey Brendan,
I see you are paying attention! Very nicely done with the light and comp!!! You placed the center of the rose in a great spot. Only recommendation is to tone down the LR brightest area a touch.....but all in all an excellent job!

Lovely image, and love where you've placed the centre swirl of the rose. Well done!

Hi Brendan. Excellent comp with the rose's center in a perfect spot. Beautiful lighting and colors. I would agree with Roman about toning down the bright area in the LR just a bit. Very well done.

Curves, curls color, light--all outstanding in this image. Smooth and luscious, like a sherbert. My eye happily moves around the image taking in the wonderful curves and details. Perfectly placed sharp areas. A gorgeous image.

Thanks very much for your comments everyone, much appreciated.
Anita, it did kind of remind me of sherbert. Here's the repost toning down the highlights of the LR.

Very well done, Brendan. I agree with the above comments. Would also make a very nice shallow DOF image with the center of the spiral sharp--did you happen to also make exposures of the same composition with the aperture in the f/2.8-f/4 range?

Thanks, Mitch, good suggestion, as I do like the softer images I see posted here. Was not that organized unfortunately during the shoot, so don't have more shallow DOF frames of this one. Will definitely explore that for future shots.
