    Hi Stuart,
    I'm not loving this one. There is a line of foamy water that intersects the birds' head exactly at the black/ white transition of head feathers so it makes it look weird. I keep seeing that line. The other thing is that the beak looks like it is broken or cut off and not just skimming underwater because of the ripple in the water..
    I hope I am not being too harsh! I usually like your pictures!!

    nice, I am not seeing any details in the blacks and whites lack details too, maybe a big crop?

    Stuart,

    Good points by Gail and Arash above. The BG is distracting and perhaps through off the exposure if you were in an AE mode.
