    It was pretty difficult to get this bird in the open.

    Ram:

    Nice attentive pose, well scaled perch, good eye, pleasant BG.

    I might tone down the brightness of the perch just a bit.

    There is a tiny little light spot along the inferior border , on right, might remove this.

    Ram, I like the pose and the dramatic contrast here. very good details and exposure. If mine, I'd have tad more room below. The tail is a little too close to the edge.

    Nice! I agree with Randy about the perch, and KD about the comp. I also think the whole bird's brights can be toned down. Here I used the burn tool set to "midtones" and 8% exposure with a soft brush:
