    This image of the mottled duck was taken at Wakodahatchee last night. There was a heavy cloud cover as well as beautifulk blue sky but this image was captured as he was passing over the clouds.

    Nikon 300mm F2.8
    1/1250. F7.1
    ISO 320
    hand held

    Excellent capture Judy !!! You do great with your 300 2.8 !!!! Not easy focusing on those speeding demons !!! Soft light and all so sharp !!! Love it !!!!

    I know we are supposed to refrain from adjectives like great but......Great shot ! Really well done considering how fast they fly with a full head of steam. The light has fallen just right to boot.

    Very nice image, love the composition and the action. Detail on the duck is superberb...:D

    Fantastic capture Judy! the 300 2,8 is IMO the best lens for flights and here we have a neat example.

    Nice one Judy. Not sure if you could do some selective S/H on the birds breast to bring out some more detail there?
