    Default OOTB applied

    Folks,

Greetings. I split my photography between nature and human subjects... This is from something I learned here and applied to human subjects... Hope this is okay for this forum.

I took this during a ballet rehearsal... wouldn't have considered the settings for this shot were it not for seeing how blurs work. Most of the stage lighting was off and the dancers were randomly practicing moves...

Thanks for looking and for the ideas and techniques explained in this forum...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Michael, this is perfect for the forum... and an excellent one! I love how you have been able to capture the moment of spin. overall lighting and dark bg enhanced the beauty of the image. Excellent technique!

I like this one a lot. The blur is perfect. Wondering how it would look if her face was sharp, but certainly works as presented. Like the soft colors as well.

    Hey Michael,
I really like the contrast of blur and sharp here....I think it works perfect on her face! Very nicely done!

Michael, The subjects work very well for this presentation. Very nicely executed and I have to say I like the blurred face and for some reason it goes so well with the costumes.

    I think this is spectacular.
Just a beautiful, unique and very well executed idea and photo.
If you could sharpen the man a bit, it would work even better although
with the slow SS, probably not possible.
    Very well done.

    Roman, Denise, Dan,

Thanks much for the comments. I was pleased with the shots with the limited ambient stage light. The show lights are pretty hard to work with (skin tones are near impossible).

    Cheers,

    -Michael-
