I am fortunate to have a nature reserve close to my house, and in good light, one can come away with lovely colours and BG's against your subjects. These guys are pretty relaxed when you drive close to them.

nice pose, light, BG and details, good perch too. I see some artifacts near the end of the tail, looks like the BG blur mask bled into the leaves?

great work, BTW this should work as a vertical as well

Great looking bird, light and BG. Agree that there is some strange artefacts left of the birds head but should be an easy fix.

The light and BG are beautiful. Bird feathers sharp and detailed. Perch is nice as well. Did you blur the BG and accidently catch the leaves on the perch?

Stuart, shooting angle, light, sharpness, BG...all excellent.

I dont mind the extreme head turn...but because of that, I dont think this needs to be a pano. If mine, I'd take some off the right side. Not sure this will work as vertical as that would clip the leaves.

I see what Arash is saying about the artifacts.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. With regards to blurring the BG, no actual blurring done, but a slight NR only. I can see the 'blurred leaf LLC, but nothing behind the head as mentioned by Paul.

I feel a vertical will work, so thanks for that suggestion everyone. Will definately give it a try later, as Ive been stuck in traffic for 2hrs and 20mins which would normally take me 25mins on a friday afternoon.

The artefacts that I can see are between the left frame edge and the birds head. It looks like its to do with the colour graduation in the BG and like it way have been affected by down sizing.

Love the perch, and the details, Stuart. Prefer a vertical for this extreme head turn - even tighter than your repost. Love that two toned bg too.
