    Default Snail kite chase 3

Here is the last frame from Red-Winged Black Bird chasing the snail kite, the kite was really freaking out. Taken from Jim Neiger's boat

Spectacular action, a perfect exposure, and a screaming kite. All in all a spectacular image. I wish only for a bit more separation between the two birds.

Great work, love the kite mid scream and agree with Art that a little room between the two would be preferable.

Great action between the two birds! Like the open bill and the grasses in the background.

Arash, great IQ, and you have nailed the exposure and sharpness. Love the full wingspan of the kite, and separated nicely from the BG. Another vote for a bit of separation between the two birds. Well captured.

    Hi Stu,

When you say "another vote" for more separation are suggesting that I separate the birds using PhotoShop? Or are you suggesting that I go back and ask the birds to keep some distance next time they are chasing

    Thanks everyone, appreciate the feedback!

Nice light on a gorgeous male. Background is very pleasing. Wish for a little more separation between your subjects and that the tail patch wasn't toast.

We are supposed to comment on the image as presented.

If taken into PS the white patch is saturated with values of 255.

When an image is converted to sRGB and saved as web JPEG some pixels will be clipped as a result of tonal compression. As long as the the image does not look too bright to be distracting and unnatural I wouldn't worry about that.

Arash, this whole series has been very good. the peak-open bill is what I like a lot here. terrific subject separation from the BG and good DOF coverage.
