Vivaldo, terrific shot...excellent action, shooting angle and details. loved the BG. Its a tough one to crop IMO..

Great BG helps to make this one. Crop-wise I am good left, right and bottom but would have preferred more on top.

Seems the head is angle slightly away from you too but still got good eye contact.

Well done, great action captured and I love the water droplets everywhere. HA doesn't bother me but the BG seems a little "patchy" but I'm unsure how I'd remedy it as any idea I have (slight blur filter etc) will blur out the water drops unfortunately.

Aside from needing a bit more room on top , I think this is one sweet image. Nice job stopping the action.

    Vivaldo:

Great sense of action here, with pose, flying stuff. Are those water drops, or sand perhaps?

Head angle away, but still excellent eye contact.

Agree about bit more room above, to climb into. I could see this cropped more as a fat vertical with the bird on the diagonal.

    Cheers

In an ideal world I would wish that the bird's head were turned a bit more towards us BUT, this image is spectacular. Incredible pose and sharpness and I am 100% fine with the crop/framing. The raised near-wing with that great detail and the killer water droplets put this one way over the top for me.

Thanks everyone for great comments it's appreciated Randy these are water droplets. These birds fly into man made waterholes every morning. They are always very very nervous and only take a few second to drink water and then take off. Lanner Falcon's normally dive in, trying to catch them It's very exciting stuff.

Hey Viv, great take off pose, and just love the light, colours and sharpness. The sandgrouse pops so well from the BG, and good to see the droplets.
