    Wow. You are pretty close.

Very nice action shot with two good poses.

I like the snow and the feel of the photo. A wet, cool, coastal day in the North.

Neat. Looks as if they both had their nictitating membranes down in anticipation of the impending collision.

I like the setting with the snow, and good timing to capture the moment. I too, would like to see the next couple of frames.

snow makes it even more dramatic. terrific action. I can see that you had to trade some DOF for the SS. Very nice composition.Wud love to see this in bigger size.

The speed at which this happened was incredible. I know that the FG bird is a bit soft from both subject motion and DOF but the in grand scheme of things the capture of the moment to me was more important than an absolutly perfect technical image....

I agree Dale. without that high SS, the splash and the wings would not have been frozen so well.

I agree. Sometimes the subject trumps technical details, and this is one of those cases in my opinion.
    Great job.

Great action. I too think that sometimes, as is the case here, getting the action trumps the technical details. Great photography is all about great images, and technical details are often subjective to the photographer's creative licenses. Good job. Thanks for sharing.
