Love the sky, the intense eye, and the sharpness. For me, a little head turn one way or the other -- either showing mre profile of the bill, or both eyes -- might have put it over the top. I like the comp.

Love the eye contact and diagonal formed by the bird. BG is outstanding.

Normally, this flight position isn't my favorite for photos. However, this one works. The falcon looks as though he is cutting right through the photo with that wings. Your BG is really what makes this one pop, and the head is nice and sharp.

Nice pose and colours. Maybe some more sharpening on the head.

Killer BG. Wish for more head turn one way or the other. I like the diagonal line. Would love to see a bit more of the topside as well.
Why is your SS so high?

I like the diagonal in the frame. Cool BG colors. I think your image is starting to pixelate, maybe in the conversion for this forum????

Great eye contact and I like the warm colors in the background.

Thanks everyone for comments it's appreciated Gail I normally use SS of about 1/3200. A lots of times it's not enough with these very fast birds, so have started using higher SS. IMO it has helped.
