Got this short toed snake eagle, looking intensely in the grass for a snake which had just escaped being caught. Usually shy birds but on those days do let you close. I rested the lens in front of some grass to get the dream like feel to the frame.

    1/400, F 5.6, ISO 800.

    Kiran.

Really like the intense start and some of the OOF grasses in the foreground. Nice color as well.

Low angle works nicely Kiran, would have prefered seeing the feet but it's still a cracker. Just love those yellow eye's and feather detail TFS

What a great capture, Kiran. The OOF FG works well, your bird is sharp as a tack and I love his look. Colors are also very complimentary, esp the graduated BG.

I don't know if I would lie in the grass when there is a snake on the loose!
Bird looks great but I'm not crazy about the OOF grass.

Amazing IQ, fg, bg and bird. Just love that pose and the "expression". Exceptional work, as always.

NIce sharpness on the bird and the off focus of the foreground works fine for me.
