This Canada Goose was leading her new little gosling to the nearest pond today -- over 100 yards distant -- but they got there OK. Following close behind them were three other little ones and Dad. I made a minor crop in LR3 and some adjustments in PSE -- S/H on her neck and head and USM on both subjects.

Pretty darned cute Wendell. They feel a little tight in the frame, but otherwise a very nice capture and image. The adult's eye and bill are not as sharp as they could be and you might be able to sharpen them a bit. Good eye to spot this composition.

I agree with Kerry on both compostion, but is too tight for my tastes, can you expand the crop a bit?
And sharpening would be good if you can, but if you were close it I've learned it's tough at 5.6. And I might reduce the temp as it's too warm and you lose some of the detail between the goose (adult) and grass.

Kerry and Stan: I would need to add canvas at both top and bottom (which should be easy to do). Thanks for your comments . . .

I really like the composition-the little guy with his head trying to keep up with mom. Did you get any with the whole family?

Rob, I did get some with the full family, but not all the subjects in the frame were sharp in any one of the exposures. Perhaps I should try a "crop and clone" on one of them.
