    Default Nesting great crested grebe

This was taken a few weeks ago in the last rays of evening light that made it over the trees. I had to wait for a cloud to pass that took away all contrast from the bird on its nest. I cleaned up the water a bit, though it wasn't too bad overall. It was a nice afternoon in the UK.

Please let me know what you think.

Nice image here, I also love this crested grebes. IMO I would prefer to see it with a lower angle, but you probably would lose the reflexion.

Wonderful shot. I really like the reflection and the pose. Well done.

Thank you both. Humberto, I would have liked to get a lower angle, at least as another option, but I was shooting from a path and had to get over some vegetation too. Further round the path may have allowed me to get lower but I would have lost the angle shown here with the sun in good phase.
