Default Cades Cove, Great Smokey Mountains

No grand landscape, just a lousy weather morning on the 11-mile loop drive. I was trying for a grunge style to help recreate the morning misty rain and fog.
I used Simplify, Clean, Tonal Contrast, and some noise thrown in. Tough lighting, hope I got it right. Thanks for the look..............

    Hey Jay,
Another mood image although for me.....there is too much sky. I would crop down removing the left tree.....thus minimizing the grey sky. Let's see what others think.

Jay, I like the effect and the noise is a perfect touch. The hint of pink is nice. I like the mood. A small slice off the top might be good.

Jay, another wonderful feeling image. I agree about a small slice off the top but other than that I really like this one

Very nice image and application, Jay.

I like the image and agree with the above suggestions.

If it were mine, I might also increase the BLK in the first tree ... very slightly. I think it would add depth to the image. But ... your image ... your vision.

Very nice otherwise. That is a long road, if nothing is happening ... especially in fall when you are one of a million cars in line!! Been there and done that... But a great place to visit.

Mark, thanks................we are planning on going back Nov 2, after the crowds, but some color remains.
I've heard October is crazy crowded, and some of the visitors just don't respect the wildlife, or each other for that matter.

Hi Jay, I'm with Roman on the crop as I feel the bright sky takes a little of the mood away. Also agree with Mark on a little blacker blacks. I like the texture and feel a lot. Just a couple of adjustments would make a stronger image IMO.

Beautiful composition, Jay. Love the mood here and another vote on crop suggestion.
