Default African Wild Dog (Lycaon Pictus)

Wild dogs on the move, Khwai, Botswana.

    1D Mark IV + 500F4

    Techs

Cropped to Pano. This was also to crop out the pinks in the BG, which is the sun setting on the Khwai river.

Hi Russell, I really like the low POV, and the angle of the dogs approach. Looks like great late afternoon action that you were watching. Also like detail in the dogs faces. Not sure if there is a bit too much magenta in this as I am not viewing on normal computer..
Great to see wild dogs posted again..

Nice attitude on the dogs' faces, great pov. Agree with Grant on colour cast. Really nice wild dog image. TFS.

also not viewing on the best monitor but there does seem to be a slight magenta cast
excellent poses and low POV, and you achieved surprisingly good DOF for f5.6 - were they all in the same plane of focus at this instant?

love the pose and expression of the middle dog!
    (sweet light too)

Good choice with the composition & crop here Russell, looks like the Dogs are on a mission, nice individual facial expressions too.

Would be good to see a repost with the slight colour correction.

    Russell,

I agree with the color cast suggestions. THe varying facial expressions and body postures really makes this image interesting.

Hi Russel, nice group with different postures and also showing the varied patterns of the dogs. Like the low angle. Agree with the comments on the colour cast.

Thanks for the comments. Having looked again and played in PS, have corrected the Colour Cast.
