    Default Yellow Warbler

One day last month, near my local lake. I took a bunch of Yellow Warbler shots that afternoon, but I liked the pose of this one. Someone may suggest that it should be rotated CCW. This is in fact the correct orientation, although it might look more realistic with some rotation. What do you think?

Cute pose and I like the nice framing.

I like the composition and the way you have included the tree and branches.

    Rotation looks fine to me.

    A fun photo.

Really nice looking bird. Exposed well, great detail, and I like the comp. Well done.

The diagonals of the branch and the warblers head make an interesting and pleasing composition. The level horizon in the reflection of the eye confirms no rotation is needed... Cool shot.

I like the inquisitive look on this guys face. New buds on the branch are a nice touch.

That's a keeper Bill, love the look on his face as well.
I'm jealous of any one with light conditions to shoot in the afternoon.

Thank you all for your comments. Stan: by "afternoon" I really meant around 6:30 PM in late April, so by then the sun had lost some of its sting. Still, that's probably not the case in AZ.

No that's true Bill, but I guess a guy that lives in an area with 9 months of good weather should not whine, huh! You've been putting up some great images, very impressed. I've really got to work on setting up perches etc. and just waiting I think.

Thank you Stan. Patience is not one of my virtues -- I need to work on that too. (And also work on my distaste for getting up at 4:00 AM in the summer to get to a shooting destination before the sun gets too high.)
