    Default Mating Tree Swallows

    Had not yet set up a good perch but found these two in a local park which has a lot of tree swallows. Canon EOS 7D, 600mm, ISO 640, f/6.3, SS 1/2000, flash at -2 2/3. Lightened up the males eye a bit.

    Nick, lovely iridescence shown on the male's head, together with the wingspread. Comp wise, I would probably add to both sides, and add a touch more sharpening to the female.

    Great action and good use of flash. Lovely BG. Would love to see a bit more room on the left. Female head needs some sharpening.

    Thanks for the feedback. Will sharpen that head. I guess I shouldn't have cropped this at all. Thought tight was in!

    nice intermate shot,good BG,agree about the sharpening,not keen on the perch,but beggers can not be choosers,nice shot,thanks.

    Nick, excellent view of the action, eye level shooting angle and sweet clean BG. really liked the eye contact between the two...adds a lot IMO. good to see the male's foot. agree with space and sharpening suggestions above.
