    Default Barn Owl Hunting

One of my favourite subjects, photographed early one morning last week.

This was taken when the light hadn't quite risen above the hedges and buildings, which gives me a reason to go back again another day...

    Comments and feedback welcome.

    Thanks and regards,

Real nice action here, but I wish for a more frontal view. Nice colors in the BG.

I really like the hovering, hunting pose. I like more wing sharpness, and would have used a higher ISO, but this is a matter of taste. The owl's head and body are sharp. Nice background and good composition. I can understand why these lovely owls are one of your favorite subjects!

I really like the feel of this one, Austin. I would like it even more if the in-focus stems in the lower left corner were blurred and if the very dark areas above the owl were cloned to match the rest of the browns and greens in that part of the image. Keep them coming.

Beautiful image all around. In my opinion, the head could be a bit sharper.

    Very nice image Austin,
I like it just the way it is, nice action and placement on the frame. Love the soft background hue that blends in very well and brings it all together.

    Congrats...:D

Really nice. Love the pose and light coming through the wings.
