I took this last November on Bunche Beach FL, the sun had just risen and I was lucky enough to have this chap searching for breakfast. He was oblivious to me and happily charged around as they do in search of food. Head angle may not be the best but I am pleased with the shot, what do you think.

I was thinking of you, Chris, this morning while at Harns Marsh! The tides will be extremely favorable at Bunche and the Lagoon this week for "4:00pm," or 6:30pm now in the summer months. Your image here is stunning. Excellent detail, posture of the bird and color. Certainly true to what you saw. ; ) Excellent framing as well. Wouldn't change a thing.

Chris, I would be pleased with this shot too! Nicely done. I don't mind the head angle at all, as the bird is hunting. Nice low angle, exposure, color rendition, and detail. I'm wondering if it needs a slight CW rotation, or if it is just an illusion. Does look like the shore in the background is sloping, but I wasn't there so I don't know. Nice image well presented.

Nice pic, good color and hunting pose. I might take a tad off the top but that's subjective. Was this HH and how much crop.

    Hi Guys

Thanks for comments. Sorry I didn't put the info in at first Jeff, it was taken on a tripod and approx 40% taken away. Kerry like you I thought it needed a little rotation but it's level, if rotated to make the beach level the water/ wavelets are wonky. Hi Bob, email coming soon, thanks for your time folks

    Regards CB

Agree with Kerry here that it needs a just a slight CW rotation. Ignore the shore line, the water ripple by the bird is just slightly tilted.

very nice shot, I tend to like to put more room in the direction the animal is moving in the crop, but it's very nice as is.
