    Haven't had much luck ID'ing these suckers..believe me I have about 8 more.

    This flycatcher, I believe, is a Cordilleran, eye-ring narrow at the top and extended at the rear. Slight ragged crest. Short primaries.

    Its another total guess though..

    Wow...Paul, these flycatchers are tough. Books don't help. Does anyone know where to send these images, cause I sure don't....

    Paul, you build a strong case for Cordilleran...but I couldn't say for sure. Those darn Empidonax flycathers!! All I know is that it is perched on some sort of wooden fence - wood type unknown!

    LOLOL..ok forget the flycatcher, what kind of wood is the fence made of--that might be easier

    4 inch redwood! BTW, Cordilleran ID would probably require some vocals?

    Ha Ha Mr. Poulin, good to see you in here.....grasshopper, you didn't read back far enough...all of these flycatchers. 1, 2, 3 were from Texas and Arizona....

    Personally I would rule out Cordilleran as they are supposed to have a "distinct yellow wash on throat" according to Kaufman.

    My vote is for Gray but with strong reservations.
