Here's one I captured on Monday. This was one of my first efforts setting up multiple flashes at a feeder setup (something I really want to perfect in 2008).
I hope you enjoy the image. How does the lighting look?
Camera Model: Canon EOS 30D
Shutter speed: 1/125 sec
Aperture: 4.5
Exposure mode: Av
Exposure compensation: -1/3
Flash: On 3 flashes on subject in ETTL @ -1 + 1 flash on BG also at -1
Metering mode: Multi-segment
ISO: 400
Focal length: 500mm f/4 IS
Glenn, the lighting looks excellent to me. Nice detail in the blacks of head/neck, and the cheek patch isn't too hot. Interesting horizontal sort of catchlight in the eye, too. Did you have an open horizon behind you?
Wonderful color and detail here. A slight head turn and going a touch brighter would help this one. It hardly looks flashed at all except for the tiny catchlight.
It looks very good all around. I've never seen this species but I might raise the color temperature a little bit. It has a slight blue cast on my monitor. Flash work looks good.
Very nice with the setup. A minor point, but since you probably have control over the situation would be to remove whatever is causing the light area in the BG. That is, however, a tiny TINY consideration. Nice image!
