This is a dedication to the end of the space shuttle program, with the last shuttle launch of Atlantis currently set for July 8th.Having seen the other two final launches of Discovery and Endeavor in the pastfew months, we await with both anticipation and sadness the final shuttlelaunch. It is a thrilling sight that we have viewed from near and as far as ourprior home in Jupiter, Florida. But the program moves on to the next one andthough not the same, will lead man back to the moon and beyond.

This image of the shuttle gantry was taken from Merritt Island NWR, noted by thewater area on the bottom. It was taken at mid day, but the enhancement wasintended to show the ending darkness settling on the program.

Modifications in PS4 and Topaz included; Selective Color;Hue & Saturation; Vibrance & Saturation; Brightness & Contrast; TopazDeNoise 5; Adjust-Night; InFocus and Lens Effects.

    Enjoy!

Wow, Mark! This beautifully done. What a great tribute to the shuttle program.

I am hoping to be able to make it to the final launch as well.

Thanks Maureen for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

We will be there ... It's just a matter of when it goes up. The last one was delayed quite a while and we had to go back. But when it flies we will see it! Hope you get to as well.

Mark, Nice tribute and I like the abstract look to it. I wonder if the bottom portion could be opened up a bit to show more detail.

Thanks Indranil and Denise for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

I tried lightening the water area, but it did not look good and in my view distracted from the dark theme of this. But I appreciate your comment. Yes, I did look at it as well.
