About a month ago I posted a tree swallow and did not have the focus point on its head. I hope this is better -- the bird is parallel to the image plane, which probably helped. Most other bird photography opportunities have been scarce around here lately, but we do have lots of tree swallows. Now, if I could get a decent in-flight shot. PP in LR3 . . I don't think the whites are blown . . .

good head angle and I like the placement of the bird within the frame. And I agree the whites look fairly close but not blown. A lot going on with the picture and its a bit distracting from the main subject but doesn't appear to me to detract from the image.

    I like this image.

I find the flora in the FG and the matching but blurred BG very complimentary.

I might consider a slightly tighter crop.

Hi Wendell, nice position of the bird to get detail all around. Good color and exposure, nice head angle and sharp eye. Background is a little busy, but the colors are nice and it has an artistic feel. I agree on a tighter crop and would take a little from the top and the left. Good job on the capture!
