    Default Barred Owl Takes Flight

We called out a Barred Owl in the fading light of an evening during my Florida visit. What was nice about the encounter was that the owl was on a clean perch against a relatively distant BG. I wanted to capture the action but was forced to go with ISO 3200 in order to get some decent shutter speed.

Terrific flight shot, Doug. Great flight and wing angles. The noise seems under control for 3200. Out of curiosity, did you run NR on the perch?

Looks great for that ISO...Nice and clean. Pose is great and you can see it looks like tough conditions. You have done really nicely.

Looks nice Doug. I was working with barred owls in light very similar to that and was having trouble getting sharp results.

I love it when a plan comes together ( sound familiar ) Great timing Doug, and a great result with that ISO. Comp works well with lots of space for the owl to fly into, and also separated nicely from the BG. Very well captured.
