D3s, 1/1600, f8, ISO 800, 400mm 2.8 on Gitzo, got real low on the ground.
With the owls' eyes closed this one has less impact for me than some of the previous posts.

This capture does seem to have less impact than the previous one from the series. That said, I love the light, the wings and the behavior with the prey. This composition works well, and I think the closed eyes would be more powerful if we could see all the great details in those eye lashes.
