As I watched yesterday, this willet came up with a small crab for breakfast. The image is adjusted in LR3. The white spot on its forehead looked a bit bright on my monitor, but the histogram showed the the whites to be ok. Critique appreciated.
Very nice capture, the crab is a definite bonus. Very good focus and sharpness. I would have like to see a little more space on the bottom and less on the top. An application of S/H would bring out more details on the bird and better separate the bird from the bg.
I think a lower angle if you had been able to, and reducing the exposure together with a little more sharpening on the bird, particularly the head, neck and breast, would improve this image. Looks like rather harsh lighting, coming from above the bird. Excellent capture of the crab in its bill, and head angle.
