    From our local Zoo Made this portrait of our local orang Always found them impressive looking. Recently we lost one to old age It was the oldest in captivity 53 years old !!!

    Lots of cool colors and detail here, Alfred. Nice use of the fill flash - and a very interesting face to work with.

    Debating whether I would like to see right side of red beard.....maybe too centered then????? You know I love the tight crop though!

    Alfred, this is haunting! The tight crop and the stare make me want to just stare back. The apparent slight smile makes it seem as if he knows something we don't! Just outstanding!!

    Wow, Alfred, I love the tight portrait and the composition that you chose. Very strong image! Is Metro Zoo pretty flexible in terms of allowing photography gear? tripods?

    Great shot Al. Beautiful colors and excellent crop.
    Will need to look for him next time I visit the zoo.
