    Nice pic, nothing to complain about. Only thing I see is I would like a little less head turn for a little more eye contact.

    Hi Dumay
    its always difficult to make a close up interesting when the light is not great..

    just a couple of points, you could have easily sacrificed a little SS for more fstop..say f8 .. with the eye and mouth nearly on the same plane of focus ..you would have had more detail and sharpness in lips..

    and last point.. could just do with a tad more punch !

    Difficult subject to make a interesting photograph out of....Giraffe I mean. Here is one with a different HA and f8 like peter suggested.

    Hi Dumay, firstly if we are comparing, then I too prefer the second post, as the Giraffe doesn't look so awkward, but does to me, have a more comical expression. I like the depth of detail in the nose and the combination of punching the colour & f stop has certainly brought out more depth in the image. Saying that, I personally might prefer the sharpening to be between the two images. I just wonder if you are able to extract a bit more detail in and around the eye, so it's not so chocked?
