A view from late in the drumming sequence with the wing speed peaking. I was thinking of titling this one "Phantom-winged Grouse." 7D, 500 mm f/4, 1/50, f/4.5, ISO 400, tripod, photographed from a blind. I toned down the brighter areas of the background, removed the small stick below the grouse (visible in the previous posts) using a quick mask, and ran nr on the background. All comments are welcome and appreciated.
Very cool effect with those "ghost" wings, but the best part of this image is the stick removal for a clean perch...well done! I've enjoyed this series immensly!
all 3 have been great,the only thing that spoilt the first 2 a little ,was the twig and the droppings,but in the 3rd they have gone,big improvement,great series.thanks.
Hi Steve, I mentioned it before in your previous post, how I like how the blurred wings blend into the BG. In this, the effect/result looks even better. Yep, Ive enjoyed your series too. Well done.
