Default Egret of the Snowy kind...

On a recent trip to LA, this fellow caught my eye.....I use a Nikon D50, the lens used was a Sigma OS 80-400

    Big Welcome Steph !!!!!!!!

Lovely bird in breeding plumage !!!! Perfect head angle and very sharp to the bill tip !!!

Would crop slightly different Take some from the back and top Will take the bird out of the middle of the frame. The most curious part is the color of the lores ... they should be green !!!! Looking forward to many more !!!!! Excellent image !!!

Very nice image, especially with the odd color of the lores and the nice head angle. I agree that a different crop to decenter the eye would be very helpful. As far as the species, it's actually not a Snowy Egret...it's a lovely Great Egret. :)

    Welcome, Steph
Well done with the exposure and colors. I'd definitely recrop per the suggestions. Unless I missed something this one probably should have been posted in the Avian free and wild forum. Also, any technicals that you can give will often times help in making suggestions.
