    Pretty good topside detail. I like the trailing 'streamer.' Solid exposure. I would have liked a bit more eye contact. The layers are OK, especially since the bird's head is solidly in the cloud layer. I might remove the blue spot in the trees in the RLC. I probably would have chosen 1/1250 and f/7.1 to get maximum sharpness and DOF out of the 100-400 while still leaving enough shutter speed to freeze the action.

    I like the blue cypress environment and the nesting material, like Doug I also prefer more eye contact, better bank angle and a more dynamic pose.

    Exposure seems spot on as is the composition. I think the layers work very well in this image and the trailing material adds to the image.
