Default 2nd cattle egret head shot

This one was shot soon after (or before) the one I posted last week. Same techs:

Excellent, Alan. Open bill makes a big difference. Stunning peak breeding colors.

Wonderful capture. The colors and open beak made this one. You have great details in the whites and I like the clean BG which really shows off the behavior. This could also work with less of a square crop, specifically some more room on the left.

Beautiful portrait. The open beak is great. Very nice exposure on the whites. I like the square crop.

Much improved over the previous image Allan! Nicely done. I do agree with Marina about something other than a square crop.

I like the crop. I like in tight images more than most here. I also like the eye placement in this crop.

    Default correction - ipad problem

If my last post doesn't make sense it is because I was using my iPad to read the comments and respond. The problem (and I have mentioned it to "the office" but there is not remedy) is that I cannot scroll horizontally on my iPad. Therefore, the right section of my image was cut off. I liked the crop for composition reasons which are not apparent when you see the full image.

Lovely sharp, detailed image but I'll also vote for a little more room on the left.

My posts 7 and 8 might be confusing to those who do not use an iPad )this may pertain to the iphone and other smartphones and tablets too??)

Here is a thread I started with this problem.

Here is what I see on my iPad. The crop is tighter is I actually like it more than my original.
