Default E. Bluebird on Diablo Ninebark

Got this the other morning while waiting for warblers to show up at our bubbler complex. With several native plantings surrounding the bubbler...perch possibilites are plenty. Just had to wait and sure enough, one of the resident Bluebirds came in for a bath...prior to doing so, this male offered several poses for me perched on Diablo Ninebark.

I desaturated the greens in the background. Right now, with the tremendous rainfall amounts we have had here in Missouri, the vegetation is simply going crazy. The greens and yellows are nearly NEON at the moment.

As always, C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Great shot Jason - very sharp and that background is pretty fantastic. The perch is very nice, but I do wish the bird were a little higher so that there was some separation of the tail feathers from the vegetation. A bit more of a head turn toward the camera would have been ideal. Watch the highlights - some of the flowers look a little hot.

    Jason:

I think Jeff summed up my feelings well, on all counts, esp the hot whites.

Could consider a very small slice off the top.

    Cheers
