    Its always good to get different species and I was glad to capture this Spurwing goose flying past a few weekends ago. Taken at a local birding spot in Pretoria.

    100-400 @ 400mm
    1/4000
    F/6.3
    ISO 800

    Hand held

    Nice wings-up pose and golden light; the clouds are a nice element.

    great details Stu, the only thing I would have preferred is that if the far wing was in up position too, but a nice image as is

    Hi Stuart. Nice sharpness and comp. The clouds add interest to the background and I like how the spurs are visible - especially on the far wing. I wonder if you can pull any more detail out of the shadowed areas?

    To get it in flight even nicer. Very good detail and I like the broken clouds in the BG. Well done mate.

    Superb shot. Great flight pose and light is just amazing. The clouds as a background really add to the entire image. Well done.
