    Default Down the Snowy Road

This is one of the HDR images I created with Nik HDR Efex Pro using 3 exposures made during our rare Jan. snow event in MS. To make it a little more OOTB than a straight HDR photo, I duplicated the layer and used Pixel Bender oil paint at the minimum setting and then lowered the opacity of that layer to 50%. Then I merged all layers and used Topaz Adjust to add color and detail. I duplicated the layer and changed the blend mode to soft light and lowered the opacity to 50 or 60%.

Judy, I like the filtering as well as the HDR The shadows are a nice touch and I like the road carrying you into the image.

Judy, Really nice composition and the filtering is lovely. The road really brings you into the image. If it were mine I might take a sliver off the right side, nicely done.

Nice, subtle yet effective HDR work! I especially like the look of the trees. I might tone down the brightness or redness of the road.

Thanks Denise! I'll try cropping it on the right.

Thanks Anita. I was going for a pretty saturated look with this one but I'll see what I can do with the road.

Judy: I should have written that it is your vision, so keep the road as is if that is what you like! :-) It is a bit tricky to make suggestions, because so much is a matter of personal preference.

Love the trees and the snow. I too would opt for a bit off the right. Does this need a bit of CCW rotation?

Very nice, I would blur the trees a tad, just a personal thing, very good comp, nicely done.

Judy, this is really nice. I love the way the road and the trees work together to draw the viewer in.

Very nice image and application, Judy.

Reminds me of a past life better left that way! Not a fan of snow, except for images like this. But don't have to worry about that much anymore, by choice!

    But very nice.

Judy, this is beautiful. I love how the road leads the eye. The effect on the trees is awesome. To Artie's point, it does look like tilted because of the slanted trees on the left. May be a bit of perspective or skew may help... excellent processing.
