I photographed this bird this morning about an hour after a hazy sunrise. Minor adjustments in LR3.

Nikon D7000, 500 mm, f 6.3, 1/2500, ISO 1100, manual exposure, hand held from boat. Looking forward to your comments. Thanks.

You did a good job with the whites. Nice head angle. It seems a little soft. Maybe some noise reduction on BG. I might take a little off of the left.

I agree with John on the noise reduction on the BG. For me I would like to see the complete bill, not have it cut off and have a little more room to the right. Excellent job on the whites which are very hard capture.
    Great capture.

PS: Forget the part about the bill more room to the right. Except for the noise it looks great.

    Dave,
You don't see the complete bill?

Sorry, I do now. I hadn't scrolled over in the picture.

Hi Cathy, good points made by John - I wouldn't take very much from the left but just a little would be good I think. Very nice job with the exposure! Nice head angle and composition overall. It seems a bit too yellow to my eye, could go just a tad more toward blue in the color balance without losing the nice golden light. Nice job!
